Thank you for reading my blog which includes articles I have written dating back the ACT! 2000 era.
My goal in this blog, is to provide lots of basic training in ACT!, best usage, work-rounds, sales and marketing techniques and whatever else I decide will help you get the most out of this venerable product.
For the record, I started using ACT! in the DOS 1.0 version circa 1988. It cost me $495 dollars at a time in my life where that was a big expense. I was writing computer books (Google me as Douglas J. Wolf to see all my titles) and working in the mortgage origination business.
In 1991, I was asked to write the manual for the DOS 2.0 release and flew to Texas and met with Pat Sullivan and his small group of vibrant employees. I wrote 95% of the manual in a week and when released, ACT! 2.0 became a huge software hit.
I became one of the 1st people recognized as an ACT! certified Consultant and still am today.
